CORBA 2.0: An Overview

Abstract
This presentation gives an overview of the CORBA 2.0
specification as published by the Object Management Group.
It briefly describes the structure of the Object Management
Group and the process through which submissions are approved
and published.
The CORBA 2.0 specification is described as well as the Object
Management Architecture, the framework upon which the CORBA
specification is structured. A comparison of Java RMI and CORBA
is given as well as an overview of current CORBA 2.0 implementations.
