Abstract
Management Information Systems (MIS) and associated commercial
products are now an important part of both enterprise and smaller
scale businesses. MIS products are available for premium prices, but
do not always meet business's expectations particularly in terms of
scalability and integrability with other business software and
infrastructure. We focus on the wide-area distributed aspects of
integrating MIS with the new needs of e-business and e-commerce
activities. We describe our experiences and experiments with
e-enabling middleware.
